How to improve your immune system with exercise
Almost the whole world has unexpectedly shut down. I think this is the first time, certainly in living memory, that a “tiny” virus has had such a huge effect on everyones life, and for most of us the effects are negative. During this time it’s really important to keep our body healthy so that we can fight off anything that we need to, but it’s also equally important to keep our mind healthy too. Daily practice of meditation, mindfulness practice, listening to dharma talks, praying, reading, listening to classical music, going for a walk and exercise are all crucial in keeping the mind healthy.
Exercise can be challenging, especially if you don’t know where to start or you don’t have any equipment. Although you really don’t need equipment, your own body weight is more than enough. You can also be creative and instead of weights and gym equipment you can use things like water bottles, bags of cat foods, a chair, a cushion etc. Start looking at your home as if it was a fitness center and you will be surprised what you can do!
