Make a choice

“There are no mistakes, no coincidences. All events are blessings given to us to learn from.”

— Elisabeth Kubler

Can we simplify our perspectives? In the last few months I’ve realized that everything can change in a second. We may not really understand the meaning of what is changing, yet we can change ourselves in a positive or negative direction just by the choices that we make.

If you think about it, there are too many crazy things going on all around the world, and sometimes it’s really not looking good. We seem to be creating nothing but negative vibrations, to the point that we can’t see the positive in the world.

I stopped following the news and social media because all they show is what’s gone wrong. And I don’t feel I’m missing out on any news, because I still learn what’s happening. If something bad has happened then the news will find a way to find you!

This week’s newsletter is a little different, I really just want to share what I feel and how I choose to react to what is going on.

I wish I could change things and help the people who are losing their jobs and their businesses, those that cannot take care of their family, even those who are committing suicide. The list is really long. But the most important thing that we should not forget is that we are sharing the same air. It doesn’t matter how much money or power one person has, we came to the world the same way and we are going back the same way.

So I personally believe that we should make our own life choices, in every situation. Not just listen to someone else or follow authority figures without questioning why? When did they start to think for us? The scariest part is that most of us are starting to accept what is happening now as a new norm. So where I am now in Molokai, it’s normal for the kids who are graduating high school to now have a drive-through graduation party wearing masks.

Really?? This will be them memory that the kids have of their graduation.

And they’re telling everyone that this virus is so big that it can’t possibly fit through the fabric of a cheap mask, so a mask will protect you. And it can only travel 5 feet, so as long as we’re 6 feet apart we’re fine.

Again, really??

I just want to question things that don’t make sense and don’t have any science to back them up either.

In addition it’s just sooooo sad that we are still talking about separating people by their color, or whatever other group or label we want to give them, instead of looking at their actions and their life choices. Everyone has good and bad inside, it’s all about the choices. And every group of people has good people and bad people inside them.

I don’t think we should judge anyone because they have a different opinion, a different skin color, they are rich or poor, they have a different culture, or they lack education, or because of any other label that we have given them. Now is the time to question ourselves, our choices and our beliefs…

We should all be trying to make the world a better place to live so when we end our lifetime we leave it better than we found it. It’s all about the choices we make now, and getting our responsibility for everything rather than letting other people decide for YOU!

I hope I could explain myself…
